Venture into the majestic Andes with a full-day trekking experience to the Seven Lagoons of Ausangate, a hidden natural treasure near the towering snow-capped Ausangate Mountain. This less-traveled route offers a perfect combination of breathtaking lagoons in varying hues, impressive glaciers, and authentic encounters with Andean culture.

Itinerary
Early Pickup from Cusco (Approx. 04:00 AM)
The day begins with hotel pickup in Cusco. After a scenic 3.5-hour drive through Andean valleys and remote communities, you'll arrive at Pacchanta, a small village near Ausangate, where a light breakfast will be served.
Start of the Trek (Approx. 07:30 AM)
Begin your hike at an elevation of 4,200 meters (13,780 ft). Accompanied by your guide, walk along picturesque mountain trails for around 4–5 hours, passing through a stunning landscape dotted with seven different lagoons. Each lagoon offers unique color tones due to the glacial minerals, ranging from turquoise to deep green.
Lagoon Circuit and Scenic Stops (08:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
Visit each of the seven lagoons, including Pucacocha, Patacocha, Alqacocha, Q’omercocha, and Orco Otorongo. Along the way, marvel at the views of the Ausangate Glacier, spot alpacas, llamas, and native birds, and enjoy time for rest, photos, and cultural interpretation from your guide.
Return to Pacchanta and Optional Hot Springs (Approx. 13:00 PM)
After completing the circuit, return to Pacchanta village, where a traditional Andean lunch will be waiting. Before returning to Cusco, you may opt for a relaxing soak in the natural hot springs (entrance not included), surrounded by incredible views.
Drive Back to Cusco (14:30 PM – 18:00 PM)
After lunch and optional hot spring time, drive back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel by the evening.
