Itinerary
Hotel Pickup (08:30 AM)
You’ll begin your journey from Cusco, heading southeast through the rolling hills and traditional towns of the South Valley. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the area’s history and significance.
Visit to Tipón (09:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
Your first stop is Tipón, a lesser-known Inca marvel famous for its advanced irrigation system. These well-preserved terraces and water channels continue to function today, showcasing the engineering genius of the Incas. Explore the ruins and listen as your guide explains their agricultural and ceremonial uses.
Visit to Pikillacta (10:30 AM – 11:15 AM)
Next, travel back in time to the Wari civilization at Pikillacta, a pre-Inca city built centuries before the rise of the Incas. Its wide avenues and thick walls reveal a planned urban society, offering rare insight into early Andean culture.
Visit to Andahuaylillas Church (11:30 AM – 12:15 PM)
Finally, arrive at the charming village of Andahuaylillas, where you’ll visit its iconic colonial church. Often referred to as the "Sistine Chapel of the Andes," it features dazzling murals, gold leaf altars, and baroque paintings that reflect the blend of Catholic and Andean traditions.
